Where there's smoke, there's ire

Cameron Diaz upset guests by refusing to share her cigarettes at a party. Diaz, who was attending a lavish Halloween bash hosted by her close friend Drew Barrymore at her Hollywood Hills home, managed to annoy other partygoers by spending most of the evening smoking.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Cameron was outside smoking the whole time, but when a couple of people asked if she had a cigarette, she always said no. It was so rude."

Other famous faces who attended the Alfred Hitchcock-themed event included Britney Spears, Liv Tyler, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Dustin Hoffman, Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Beckinsale, Jason Bateman and Eve.

Fur will fly over this

Leona Lewis says people who wear fur have "something seriously wrong with them."

The Bleeding Love singer, who is a staunch vegetarian, can't understand why anyone would want to wear a coat made from animal skin.

She said: "It's such an old-school way of doing things. I can't begin to imagine that people who know all these animals have been killed to make a coat can still wear it. There must be something seriously wrong with them." Lewis, 23, recently turned down a reported $2 million to open exclusive London department store Harrods' sale because the shop sells fur.

It's good to see Amy happy again

The husband of troubled retro-soul singer Amy Winehouse swapped prison for rehab Wednesday, a man familiar with the case said. Blake Fielder-Civil was freed from prison on condition that he check into a rehabilitation centre, the man said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he said it was not his place to discuss Fielder-Civil's legal issues.

Officials at Britain's department of prisons did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Fielder-Civil was found guilty of beating up pub manager James King in a barroom fight in 2006 and then offering him a bribe to keep quiet about it. Fielder-Civil, 26, was arrested a year ago and was less than halfway through a 27-month sentence for assault and obstruction of justice.

The Daily Mail newspaper said Fielder-Civil walked out of Edmunds Hill Prison in eastern England wearing jeans, a striped red shirt and a trilby hat. Winehouse, who has repeatedly appealed to concert audiences for the release of "my Blake," was not there to see him, the paper said.

Later, she fought with one paparazzo as she tried to pull his camera from his hands, then smashed another's glasses and left him with a bleeding gash on his forehead.

Janet won't Rock Witchu

Janet Jackson won't be rockin' any rescheduled tour dates.

The 42-year-old singer is not choreographing any makeup dates for the seven Rock Witchu tour performances that were postponed because of her illness "due to conflicts in the singer's schedule," said a statement released by tour organizer Live Nation.

The cancelled stops, originally scheduled Sept. 29 to Oct. 13, include: Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Greensboro, N.C., Fort Lauderdale, Uncasville, Conn., and Syracuse, N.Y.

Jackson's publicist previously said she had been suffering from migraine-associated vertigo, which led to her cancelling the string of shows. She was being treated for the illness, which is characterized by dizziness and other symptoms.

She was cleaning up at 11

Miley Cyrus has revealed her first job was cleaning toilets.

The 15-year-old actress -- who shot to fame starring in the Disney TV show, Hannah Montana -- admits she has had various unsavoury occupations in the past.

Miley, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, said: "I had one normal job and I actually liked it. I worked at this place called Sparkles Cleaning Service and I cleaned houses, I was like 11. I can clean toilet bowls!"

In the interview to be aired on the The Tyra Banks Show today, Miley also revealed the car she would love to drive when she passes her test.

She said: "I want a black Mercedes Benz and then just the little Mercedes signs to be pink and I would like the stitching and steering wheel to be pink."

Economic issues

Beyonce Knowles still flies economy class. The Crazy In Love singer -- who along with husband Jay-Z is worth millions of dollars -- insists she doesn't mind shunning the elite seats to sit with the general public when she travels.

She is quoted as saying: "Even now I sometimes fly economy if I need to. We had a storm in Miami and there was a hurricane coming so we just got out." However, the 27-year-old star admitted there are some reasons why she prefers first class, including a greater degree of privacy.

Beyonce added: "It's just that people don't give me peace in economy, that's the hardest thing."

No clothes, no Zac

Zac Efron won't be starring in Broadway play Equus because he is not "ballsy" enough.

The High School Musical heartthrob was rumoured to be taking over from the New York show's current star, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, but insists he hasn't got the courage needed to strip off in front of a live audience.

He told French website TeeMix: "Daniel was very ballsy. Oh wow, that is the wrong choice of word for that! He is very smart. I guess that was the fastest way to do it.

"But I don't know if I would do something edgy for the sake of doing something edgy, I think as I mature, so will my roles. I think it will come with time. I'm not going to do anything drastic."
