Movies and TV shows being shot in Hamilton and area include:

Lawyers, Guns and Money

"That one is important, not because it is a big show, but this is the pilot for a show that is shooting Hamilton for Hamilton," says Jacqueline Norton, manager of Hamilton Film and Television Office. Yes, Hamilton is finally playing itself. This Canadian production is making use of several locations in Hamilton, including downtown and an indoor swimming pool.

The Good Witch's Garden

For most fans, Catherine Bell first cast her charm spell in the long-running JAG television series (1995-2005) as the prim and mostly proper Lieutenant-Colonel Sarah MacKenzie. This week she's shooting the Hallmark TV movie The Good Witch's Garden in the Dundas area.

The story centres on a man struggling after his wife passes away. Things begin to change when a mysterious woman moves into town.

Majority Rules

This new TV series from Go Girl Television Productions is shooting on the Mountain, among other locations.

The tween show is a comedy about a teenager who runs for mayor -- and wins.

Murdoch Mysteries 2

This Canadian TV series, starring Yannick Bisson as William Murdoch, has earned several Gemini nominations.

Set in 1895 Toronto, the show takes the CSI approach to crime-solving and whisks it back through time when fingerprinting and other forensic techniques were considered fancy and newfangled. The series is making use of several locations in Hamilton's downtown that have the "old town" feel.

All Saints Day

This is a sequel to the popular cult feature film The Boondock Saints (1999), a crime thriller about twins who take on the bad guys. Both McManus brothers are coming back (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus). The film is shooting in Flamborough and in an industrial building.

Flanery may be best known for his role in the Emmy Award-winning TV series The Adventures of the Young Indiana Jones.

Connor Undercover

Family Channel has picked up 13 half-hour episodes of the Heroic Film Company's live-action tween comedy series Connor Undercover, slotted for broadcast in 2010.

The Canadian TV series follows the adventures of Connor, a 15-year-old who pictures himself as a secret agent. One day he gets his chance -- the teenage daughter of a South American president is brought to his house for safekeeping.

Blank of the Dead

OK, that's the working title, but you get the idea. This feature film is directed by cult movie specialist George A. Romero. We can tell you it features zombies and cowboys. Filming has been taking place in a recreation centre and in the Ancaster area.

The working title is completely appropriate, as Romero's writing or directing credits include Day of the Dead, Diary of the Dead and Land of the Dead.
