Well, she is the Tigress

Angelina Jolie says her three-month-old twins are "very smiley."

The actress has revealed Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline are a joy to be around because they are already developing distinct personalities.

She said: "They're great. They're still so little, but they do have their own personalities. They are starting to get very smiley, and they are at those months where their personalities really start to shine."

The 33-year-old star added her other children -- adopted trio Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and two-year-old Shiloh, the twins' natural sister -- are starting to become interested in her work, and are particular fans of her role as Tigress in Kung Fu Panda.

She said: "I think it's a great film, and it's brought a lot of joy to children -- and to my children, absolutely. My kids do love it. They are very, very proud. They have mom dolls everywhere. They have the Tigress."

SNL goes country

Tim McGraw's spokesperson says the singer will host Saturday Night Live on Nov. 22, joining a short list of country stars to host the popular show. Garth Brooks was the last one, and that was back in 1999. Other country singers to host SNL include Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton.

McGraw says he isn't known for comedy in his movies, but fans who come to his concerts at least know he has a sense of humour.

Hanging out with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon might help. McGraw appears with them in the holiday comedy Four Christmases, out later this month.

Now we know what the P. stands for

P. Diddy threw a "hissy fit" because he didn't like his all-white themed birthday party. The rapper, who turned 39 last week, splashed out on a lavish bash at New York's Mansion nightclub, but insisted the decor be scrapped at the last minute as the all-white room -- designed in just 12 hours -- failed to meet expectations.

A source revealed: "The designer was given a budget of $7,000 and 12 hours to create an all-white decor, including 1,000 white roses, blow-ups of Diddy and U.S. President-elect Barack Obama, and $2,000 of white fabric. Diddy declared it dreadful and went into a major hissy fit, screaming, 'Show me the receipts!' and 'Get the money back!' Then he began ripping the fabric off the walls. He berated the poor young decorator to the point that the guy gave back $2,000 of the money he had spent."

Keeping Carlin's laughs alive

The late comedian George Carlin -- famous for those "Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV" -- was honoured last night with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, the only award he saw as a legitimate comedy prize.

Jon Stewart, Lily Tomlin and Joan Rivers were among the comedians on hand to perform at the awards ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.

The prize was announced shortly before Carlin died of heart failure in June at the age of 71. This is the first time in its 11 years that the award will be presented posthumously. The program will be aired later on PBS.

"He was thrilled," Carlin's daughter, Kelly Carlin McCall, said shortly before the award ceremony. "I think he represented a lot of what Mark Twain did for our country, not only being smart and funny but also being a sharp commentator."

Carlin's career as a comedian, actor and author spanned more than 50 years. He would record 23 comedy albums, win four Grammys and make more than a dozen TV specials for HBO.

The Twain Prize was instituted in 1998 and first given to comedian and actor Richard Pryor. Recent recipients have included Billy Crystal in 2007 and Steve Martin in 2005.

Anyone surprised?

Amy Winehouse has reportedly called in lawyers to protect her fortune from husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The singer's father, Mitch, is believed to have had a secret meeting with legal experts to find a way to keep her estimated $20 million fortune safe if she decides to divorce Fielder-Civil, left, who was released from prison last week.

A source close to the singer said discussions were productive, adding: "There was panic in her team that Blake could get access to Amy's money. This cannot be allowed to happen. Mitch is leading the way but Amy is fully aware of what is happening."

Fielder-Civil is currently at the Life Works Community rehab centre in Surrey, where is being treated for drug addiction under the terms of his early release for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

Winehouse was quoted this weekend as saying: "I don't know if I want to be with him. Everything has changed. I'm trying to move on, I can't take the pain anymore. I'm still thinking about whether to see him."

The Glitter's gone

A British exam board is recalling a high school music test that included a song by convicted child molester Gary Glitter in its "suggested listening" section.

Students were given a series of examples they could model their songs on, among them Glitter's 1970s hit I'm the Leader of the Gang.

Like many of Glitter's foot-stomping anthems, the song was once a chart-topper.

But the glam rocker and his music have been shunned since the singer was convicted of abusing two young girls in Vietnam.

Take him. He's yours.

Robbie Williams is using his tattoos to make contact with aliens.

The singer has the ancient Egyptian symbol the Eye of Horus -- also known as the Udjat, which represents the Cosmos and is a symbol protection from evil forces -- etched onto the back of his neck.

The symbol is also used by the U.S. research organization Enlightened Contact With Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ECTI), which Williams recently spent time with tracking UFOs.

Alien expert Michael C. Luckman believes there are definite links between the Egyptians and intergalactic beings, and says William's choice of body art is a clear indication he is readying himself for a close encounter of the third kind.

Real Robin Hoods don't wear tights

Russell Crowe won't wear tights to play Robin Hood. The Gladiator star will take on the roles of the Sheriff of Nottingham and the generous thief in Ridley Scott's upcoming big-screen adaptation of the classic English tale, but won't be donning the garments traditionally associated with the story.

Crowe -- who will star opposite Sienna Miller in the movie -- said: "I will not wear tights because according to our research they weren't invented for another 300 years. I apologize to you all -- and to Sienna."

The 44-year-old star added: "The world doesn't need a mundane version of Robin Hood. If we're going to do it, we need to kick some serious butt."

Keep him locked up

A parole review official yesterday refused to release the convicted felon questioned in the killings of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew, after a witness reported seeing him with a gun similar to the one used in the slayings.

A 35-minute hearing ended with a decision that there is probable cause to believe that William Balfour violated parole and should be held until a Dec. 3 hearing before the full Illinois Prisoner Review Board.

Balfour has been questioned, but not charged, in the killings. Authorities have called him a "person of interest."

During the hearing by a member of the review board, Balfour denied any involvement in the crime, including allegations that he had been seen with a gun. Balfour, 27, has been in custody since the day the bodies of Hudson's mother and brother were discovered at the family's Chicago home. Three days later, seven-year-old Julian King's body was found in a SUV on the city's west side.
