(Nov 20, 2008) Pitt gets dirty
Brad Pitt is tougher than any bodily function his kids can throw at him.
The actor, who raises six children with partner Angelina Jolie, revealed becoming a father has toughened him up and ensured he can cope with anything.
"I'm tough as nails. I'm impervious to poo, snot, urine, vomit. You can't get me. You cannot break me down," Pitt, 44, told Oprah Winfrey in an interview that aired yesterday.
"We don't go to the mall. It's like a half an hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they've got their snacks, and Zahara has got a blanket and Shiloh's got her silky.
"Angelina is militant about it. She's right on top of it. Thank God, because I'm always forgetting something!"
Mel B baring it
Mel B is to star in her own Las Vegas burlesque show. The former Spice Girl will play leading lady Peep Diva in the classy Peep show strip show next year. Mel told People magazine: "This part is great for me. As a Spice Girl I would bring guys on the stage and whip them, so I think I've always been slightly naughty."
Peep show is set to open at Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in April, and will also feature soap star Kelly Monaco. Both Mel and Kelly appeared on Dancing with the Stars. Preview tickets are already on sale.
All in the family
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent their wedding anniversary at home with their children.
The actress rushed home from New York to Los Angeles on Sunday evening to be with Cruise, their two-year-old daughter, Suri, and Isabella, 15, and 13-year-old Connor, Cruise's children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
The couple celebrated a day early on Monday because of Holmes's commitments to the Broadway production All My Sons. Following their intimate family evening, Holmes returned to New York.
Discuss: dance or dense
The Killers don't like people laughing at the lyrics to their new single. Front man Brandon Flowers says he agonized over the band's latest track Human, and doesn't appreciate people's alternative interpretations of it.
The chorus line to Human is "are we human or are we dancer?", taken from a quote by gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, but some people have misinterpreted it as "are we human or are we denser?"
"That sucks a bit," Flowers, 27, said. "I really care what people think but people don't seem to understand Human."
The quote was a disparaging comment Thompson made about American society, questioning whether the country was raising a generation of humans, or dancers.
The Killers' new album, Day and Age, comes out Monday.
X-Filer likes Obama nation
Gillian Anderson is planning to move back to America.
The X-Files actress has been based in London with partner Mark Griffiths and their children -- one-month-old Felix, two-year-old Oscar and 14-year-old Piper, Anderson's daughter from her marriage to Clyde Klotz -- but is now considering returning to her homeland following Barack Obama's election.
A source close to the 40-year-old star revealed she feels she could bring up her children in the kind of America she wants them to experience, rather than a country run by current President George W. Bush.
Anderson said the move from Hollywood to London helped her enjoy a diverse professional life, and allowed her to raise her children with more privacy.
