DINNER AND A SHOW

David Beckham, right, with his wife, Victoria, joined Katie Holmes' husband Tom Cruise, left, in the fifth row at New York's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre Wednesday night for a performance of All My Sons. Holmes, who has recently said she would like to continue her theatre career when the play finishes its run in January, acknowledged her husband's presence from the stage. The foursome later went for dinner at Il Cantinori.

FLAWLESS

Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher attend the London charity premiere of Flawless on Wednesday.

Ghost of a chance

Ricky Gervais says he is in line to host the Oscars. The Ghost Town actor says he has been approached by organizers of the annual film awards ceremony, but thinks it is unlikely he will get the highly sought-after job.

"I have been approached and I am now on a list," he said. "But I think everyone else on the list -- including Billy Crystal and everybody -- would have to turn it down before they offered it to me."

He also said he would never move to Hollywood because of the earthquakes and fires that occur in Los Angeles. "On the day I was going to be doing some open houses in Los Angeles there was an earthquake. It was only a 3.0 on the Richter scale or something but ..."

DeFrosting their love

Jude Law and Sadie Frost have sparked rumours of a reconciliation after going house-hunting together. The couple, who divorced in 2003 after six years of marriage, are said to be getting their relationship back on track, and have decided to purchase a property to give the four children they raise together a family home in the countryside.

"Jude and Sadie have been getting on fantastically in the past six months," a source said. "He decided to help her buy somewhere in Hampshire, in the countryside, a real family place. They plan to invest together and give their children a truly loving home." Law, 35, and Frost, 43, have also booked a vacation to South America with their kids.

Madonna nods to Rod

Madonna unofficially confirmed her relationship with Alex (A-Rod) Rodriguez at her show Wednesday night. The 50-year-old singer, who was first romantically linked to the New York Yankees baseball star in July, smiled at Rodriguez as he passed her a bottle of water from his seat in the front row of Miami's Dolphin Stadium. She was spotted leaving a private plane in Miami, Fla., on Tuesday morning seconds after baseball player Rodriguez.

Bad news for Swayze

Patrick Swayze's cancer has reportedly spread to his liver. The actor announced earlier this year he is suffering from pancreatic cancer. "Patrick knew it was coming because he was suffering increased weakness," a source told National Enquirer magazine.

He has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at Stanford University Medical Center, and had been making a steady recovery.

Angelina's anguish

Angelina Jolie is still grieving the death of her mother Marcheline Bertrand in January 2007.

"She has to keep it together for the sake of her kids, but she is only human and falls apart from time to time," a source said. "They had a very strong bond that she feels she will never have with another person."

Jolie depends on partner Brad Pitt. "Brad has been her rock, and he will always be there for her. Without his love, she would never have been able to cope."

STELLAR THANKSGIVING DINNER

Celebrities came out in support of the Anne Douglas Center's Thanksgiving meal for the homeless in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Serving the traditional feast, above, are Katherine Kelly Lang, Ruve McDonough, Neal McDonough (rear) and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Cindy Crawford, far left, helped out, too. Anne and Kirk Douglas kept busy serving the many homeless at the Los Angeles mission.
