ESHER, England - Canada wrapped its three-match Nations Cup tour with a second loss to England, this time falling to the hosts by a score of 24-0 on Friday night.

Earlier in the tournament the English dispatched Canada by a 43-9 score. The Canadians then rebounded with a 15-0 win over the U.S. on Tuesday.

Canada finishes the tour with a 1-2 record and second place in the tournament. England was undefeated against both the U.S. and Canada to claim a 3-0 tournament record.

England built a 12-0 first half lead, with fly Anna Schnell missing one penalty opportunity. In the second half Canada was able to stay with England better than in their previous encounter on August 24th, but had no offensive answers of their own.

For Canadian coach Quentin Fyffe, who is in his second year at the helm of the women's team, it has been a valuable tour in terms of gauging his team's readiness heading to the 2010 World Cup.

"We need to keep playing England or teams above us before the World Cup," said Fyffe. "Now we know what to work on - and we will focus on those aspects as we move forward".
