PARIS - France winger Aurelien Rougerie will be sidelined for three months because of a shoulder injury that needs surgery, his club Clermont Auvergne said on Monday.

Rougerie, the Clermont captain, will have surgery this week, the club said on its website.

The club said he will be out for three months, meaning he will also miss France's November home tests against Argentina, the Pacific Islanders, and Australia.

Rougerie has scored 21 tries in 55 tests since 2001.
