(May 25, 2007) You have until May 31 to open your garden for Hamilton Spectator Open Garden Week, the 15th anniversary of this unique free event June 24 to July 3.
The concept is simple. Garden owners throughout Hamilton and its communities, Burlington and elsewhere in Halton, Niagara, Haldimand and Norfolk counties and Brant open their gardens to visitors, at no charge, at times they choose during the 10-day period.
We will publish a list of the gardens on the tour before June 24 and extra information -- including some sneak previews -- on thespec.com.
To open your garden for Hamilton Spectator Open Garden Week, send the following information in this order:
* Address, including brief directions for out-of-city addresses
* Dates and hours open
* Name(s) and telephone number, so we can verify the information. Number will not be published.
* Description of your garden in 20 words or less.
Deadline is May 31 to send information to rhoward@thespec.com or by mail or hand delivery to Open Garden Week, The Hamilton Spectator, 44 Frid St., Hamilton, L8N 3G3.
