(Oct 16, 2007) During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, cosmetic companies are donating in different ways to the cause.
Here are just a few ways companies are involved.

Clinique, Dramatically Different Moisture Lotion, $31 for 200 mL
The lotion doesn't say it will take years off your face or erase age spots but it has been keeping skin supple since 1968. It's fragrance-free, light and works for every skin type. It is also the company's bestselling product and $10 from the sale of each bottle goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It is available in department stores.
Revlon Fabulash Mascara, $10.95 for 7.9 mL
Often called "the mascara equivalent of the little black dress," this tried-and-true formula thickens and lengthens lashes without clumping. It keeps lashes soft, not spiky, thanks to a terrific brush that separates lashes. Proceeds from this and two other products in the Eye Wonder Collection, go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. It is available in drugstores.
Estee Lauder, Jewelled Pink Ribbon Compact, Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer, $55 for 11 g
A wearable, sheer bronzer in a chic compact gives skin a glow with a touch of shimmer, and is fantastic for waking up a tired-looking face. Don't stop at your cheeks -- dust it on your collarbone and decolletage, too. The compact can be refilled. Estee Lauder is donating $500,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in Canada. It is available in department stores.
Yves Rocher Arnica Essentiel Hand Cream, $4 for 75 mL
For some reason, beauty companies rarely get hand creams right -- they're either too greasy or not rich enough. This formula is perfect, though, and a No. 1 seller. The cream glides on like a pair of gloves and leaves hands velvety soft. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation receives $2 from the sale of each tube this month. It is available at the Yves Rocher Beauty Centre in Jackson Square.
