Spring fashion has come to its senses and dumped those dreary darks. Forget grey and embrace the brights.

Colour is everywhere -- in sweaters and shirts to pep up the still-cold months, in print skirts and jackets and in wrap dresses to welcome the sun.

One of the biggest colour stories is green in endless variations: khaki, emerald, aquamarine, grass, leaf, absinthe and creme de menthe. Modern greens are bright and sophisticated for the office or a night on the town.

Consider your complexion before choosing green. Women with goldie locks should stick to apple greens for a fresh look. Pale green will wash out fair complexions so keep those colours away from your face.

Dark skin is ravishing in khaki, olive and dark, citrus lime. All will envy the way redheads look in almost every shade of green. It brings out the fire in the hair and flatters the complexion.

Be cautious with grassy hues that are often hard to wear.

If you're hesitant about green, look for prints and accessories with a touch of the leprechaun hue. Subtle stripes and florals work and green handbags are enviable.
