(Jun 26, 2008) Tom Wilson, April Wine, Honeymoon Suite, Liberty Silver and the Spoons ...
These top-line entertainers are among the musical acts appearing at this year's It's Your Festival at Gage Park.
The 38th edition of Hamilton's free multicultural event stretches over five days, starting tomorrow afternoon and culminating in a big Canada Day party on Tuesday.
The festival features four entertainment stages -- including a children's stage (Stage 3) -- and showcases entertainers such as Jude Johnson and the Hamilton New Music Expo and cutting-edge bands such as Sailboats Are White, Sublimatus and Electroluminescence.
Stage entertainment gets under way about 4 p.m. tomorrow and continues with headlining rock band Mobile (2007 Juno winners for new group of the year) taking the mainstage bandshell at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday night takes on a dancehall/reggae flavour with headliners Mikey Dangerous and Liberty Silver.
The rest of the weekend is dominated by classic rock with The Spoons and April Wine sharing the bill on Sunday, and The Kings and Honeymoon Suite perform Monday.
Hamilton roots rocker Tom Wilson (Junkhouse; Blackie and the Rodeo Kings) brings his solo band to the bandshell Tuesday night.
