QLast week I had the oil changed in my car and about two days later found that they had put 5w30 oil when I specifically asked for 10w30.

When I went back they said that they did put the correct oil in the car but mistakenly put 5W30 on the work order. I do not believe them and they will not do anything for me.

My car has always run on 10w30 oil and my friends tell me that the 5w30 oil is too thin for my car. I have just over 240,000 kilometers on the car.

They also told me that they made a mistake on the work order when they put 5w30 on the bill, but to keep you happy they will change the oil for you again. This time they will use oil from jugs so you can see that the 10w30 oil was used.

(The '5' and '10' in these equations relate to the oil's pourability, or fluidity, in cold weather -- '5' pours more freely when cold than '10'. Once warmed to operating temperature, both oils perform at the same thickness, or viscosity, to lubricate the engine's moving parts. -- Ed.)

About two years ago we bought a new '06 Honda Accord SE. From the get-go there has been a white lint/fluff product being emitted from the seats (backs and seats), front and rear seats and even through the stuffing in the doors.

Although constant vacuuming and using a lint roller brush will remove the stuff, it quickly comes back whenever the seats are used. The dealership passed me over to customer relations where a representative said they had received only one other complaint, although the dealership service indicated there were others from her store alone. Yesterday, I was offered $150 in service vouchers to be used at the store as a goodwill gesture, however I don't find this solves the defining issues. Are you familiar with this problem and what recourse would be available at this time or at best, even a solution from yourself or one of your readers?

Nobody among my sources had a similar problem with their car, so let's put is out there to see if anyone else has this problem and hopefully learn if they found a solution.

I have a 2004 Intrepid. When the car is idling or moving very slowly, the motor revs up and makes quite a bit of noise. It is loud enough that when I stop for lights or to turn, etc., people turn and stare. It has been like this since I purchased it and I'm curious to know if this is normal.

I have never heard another car do this. I took it to the dealership and they said it was normal and just cooling off the engine. Do you agree with that?

It is not the motor that revs up, but an electric fan that starts up to keep the engine cool at low speeds. These fans can at times sound loud but that noise is normal in some cars.
