Joseph, Hunt, Tristan Jackson and Paris Jackson earn CFL honours


TORONTO - Kerry Joseph, Reggie Hunt, Tristan Jackson and Paris Jackson are the CFL's top players for week, the league announced Wednesday.

Joseph, who led the Argonauts over Edmonton with 22-of-38 passing for 343 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions, took the offensive award. Joseph also ran for a league-high 118 yards on 10 carries and one rushing touchdown.

On the season, Joseph is 74-for-126 for 839 yards, with three touchdowns and three interceptions for a 76.8 passer efficiency rating. He has also rushed 23 times for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

Hunt snagged defensive honour despite his Montreal Alouettes losing to Saskatchewan. Hunt recorded eight tackles, a sack and two interceptions in the loss to the Riders. Hunt had an interception in the first quarter, and then picked off Darian Durant's first pass of the second half.

Tristan Jackson is the special teams recipient. He was a factor in all facets of Edmonton's kicking game as he scored on a 94-yard kick return, had a 64-yard missed field goal return and returned three punts for 18 yards. Jackson had 187 special teams' yards.

Paris Jackson won the Canadian Player award with his six catches for 114 yards including a 56 yarder as his B.C. Lions defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Jackson also had a kick return for 17 yards.
